Green is Better! – CHOICE partner school IMS Giordano Multiplier Event

The ERASMUS+ CHOICE project is keeping up its journey with the Multiplier Event held on 16th May at the Giordano Bruno High School Hall in the presence of guests from other schools, the regional school board and municipal institutions representatives.

The presentation of the CHOICE project in its general layout was documented by Prof. Scenna, along with her staff, but the real protagonists of the day were the students with their thoughts, reflections, experiences, points of view on the theme of environmental sustainability.

All students chose to report the activity or experience, among the many carried out during the current school year, which they considered the most significant throughout the developed CHOICE Educational Paths.

A strong sense of awareness has emerged with regard to issues related to Climate Change and all that this entails. But the participation and responsibility that Giordano Bruno’s young students were able to communicate through their interventions revealed to be worth of it.

Participating in the Giordano Bruno Multiplier Event, one can affirm with great deal of trust to have witnessed a moment of total sharing of good school practice; these are the moments which reveal the true nature of students as people, their attitudes, their talents, their aspirations that are so often hidden among or behind the school desks.  The CHOICE Educational Paths’ Call to Action proves itself to be the best tool that the school must implement – no matter about the topic – in such a way that students would address themselves to the school with a special sense of belonging. In Giordano Bruno’s specific case, the clear and strong message coming from the students was that their school MUST BECOME GREEN…Since GREEN IS BETTER.

And we, as teachers, must be convincing and tell them that we are not what happens to us, but we are how we react to what happens to us.
